Analyze and economic time series forecasting by using selected statistical methods
Assessment of Selected Company Indicators Using Statistical Methods
Rozkydal, Štěpán ; Michalíková, Eva (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of selected financial indicators of the company STAVOČ spol. s r.o. using statistical methods in the years 2013–2020. In the theoretical part, financial indicators, time series analysis, regression analysis and correlation analysis are defined. In the analytical part, the theoretical knowledge is applied to the analysis of selected financial indicators. Some financial indicators are then subjected to statistical analysis on which the prediction of values of indicators for the following two years is carried out or the dependency between the selected indicators is determined. In the last part of the thesis, measures leading to the improvement of the current economic situation of the company are suggested.
Time series analysis of the waste water flow in the pressure sewer
Ambrož, Martin ; Beránek, Josef (referee) ; Ručka, Jan (advisor)
This Bachelor Work is describing the time series analysis of outlet from pressure waste water sewerage and detailed statistic data evaluation in village Štěpánovice. In terms of this Work there were realized detailed evaluation of measured time series of flow by 5 minutes in 4 calendar months. Data evaluation was realized by software programme STATISTICA and MS EXCEL with output to determination of an average and maximal daily flow, maximal and minimal hourly flow and coefficient of non-uniformity. At the same time there was found out with statistic probability number of simultaneous running pumps of pressure sewerage of Štěpánovice village.
Assessing Selected Indicators Using Time Series Analysis
Turisová, Alena ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
Master's thesis deals with the assessment of selected financial indicators of the production company X in order to evaluate its performance and financial situation. Based on the results of the analyzes for the period 2008 to 2015 and the application of statistical methods of time series analysis and regression analysis, prognosis of future development of monitored indicators are obtained. Subsequently, the prognosis are used for the final formulating of proposals to improve future business efficiency of the company.
Assessment of Selected Indicators of a Company Using Statistical Methods
Rešková, Petra ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
Master´s thesis deals with the assessment of selected financial indicators of the company using a statistical methods. The first part is focused on the theoretical description of financial indicators, time series analysis as well as regression and correlation analysis. The practical part contains a statistical analysis of selected indicators with subsequent prediction of indicators for the next two years. The practical part also contains a comparison of selected indicators with the industry average and a correlation analysis to determine the dependence of selected indicators. The last part contains suggestions to improve the situation of the company.
Mathematical and Statistical Methods as Support of the Development of Software Applications
Kinc, Petr ; Novotná, Veronika (referee) ; Šustrová, Tereza (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the design and development of the software tool using C# programming language and his subsequent implementation into the Microsoft Dynamics NAV information system. The task of this tool is to analyze the development of selected indicators using statistical methods and to predict their future development. On the basis of these predicted data, is created an indicative budget to support decision making on the determination of key accounting parameters and coefficients for the next accounting period in the company Vodovody a kanalizace Hodonín, a.s.
Analysis and modeling of network data traffic
Paukeje, Ján ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Růčka, Lukáš (advisor)
Theses deals with network traffic modeling focused on elaboration by time series analysis. The nature of network traffic is discussed above all http traffic. First three chapters are theoretical, which describes time series and basic models, linear AR, MA, ARMA, ARIMA and nonlinear ARCH. Other chapters define terms like self-similarity and long range dependence. It is demonstrated a failure of conventional models which cannot capture these specific properties of network data traffic. On the basis of study in chapter 6. is closely described the combined ARIMA/GARCH model and its parameter estimation procedure. Applied part of this theses deals with procedure of estimation and fitting the estimation model to observed network traffic. After an estimation a few future values are predicted on the basis of estimated model. These predicted values are consequently compared with real data.
Relationship between Changes in Betting Odds and Results of Football Matches
Jurkovič, Juraj ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to demonstrate techniques for solving web scraping and knowledge discovery tasks. The case study is focused on the extraction of data from bookmaker websites and subsequent analysis of collected data. The thesis demonstrates the implementation of web scraping task in Python language. The thesis describes selected implementation details for developing such a system and proposes a database schema that can be used for this purpose. Collected data is analyzed using statistical methods and frequent patterns are discovered in odds movements using apriori algorithm. Discovered relationships and frequent patterns are presented to the end user.
Assessing Selected Indicators Using Statistical Methods
Bednářová, Veronika ; Michalíková, Eva (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the assessment of selected indicators using statistical methods. The first part is devoted to theoretical background, which describes financial indicators, time series analysis and regression and correlation analysis. The second part deals with the analysis of selected indicators and statistical analysis, which predicts the values of indicators for the next two years. Then correlation analysis is created, which determines the dependence between selected financial indicators. The last part is devoted to proposals leading to the improvement of the current situation of the company.
Assessing the Economic Indicators of a Company Using Time Series Analysis
Mičák, Peter ; Kľačanská, Jana (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor’s thesis is assessment of the state of the company based on analysis of the economic indicators using statististical method of regression analysis and time series. First part of this bachelor’s thesis contains theoretical basis of financial analysis, regression analysis and analysis based on time series. The second part is devoted to perform analysis on the basis of financial statements of the observed company. Consequently, forecast is created for each indicator for the upcoming periods. The results of the analysis are described and on their basis are created measures that can help the company to effective fulfillment of it’s objectives.
